The Nation of the Offended
First of, this idea is in no way original. I feel compelled to mention that this is a topic many have espoused on, with Rayford from John Boy & Billy in the morning coming to mind. Considering this topic has been hashed over, I'll keep my views brief and to-the-point.
Basically people need to get over themselves. We live in a world now where everyone gets offended over every little thing. Part of this I feel has to do with the proliferation of torts as well as hangover from the politically correct nineties. When it comes to the world of politics, the truth is you can't expect a "straight-talker" if you hang him for every remark that might be slightly off-center. If you want to cut the bullshit, you need strap on your helmet and expect to hear some things you won't like.
